Hi Steve and welcome to OUforum.

How's things going over at talkhost? Still getting the same level of support I provided when I was the boss I hope Razz

I've also been studying with the OU for quite a while now, mainly just subjects of interest to me.

I'm currently going towards the bsc in physical science, with an emphasis on the maths and astronomy courses.

I hope more people sign up here soon as it is currently like a ghost town LOL

Jim

Hi all

My name's Vikki and I've just signed up to my first OU courses, s194 (Introducing Astronomy) and s151 (Maths for Science). I have vague ideas of eventually doing a named science degree, but thought I'd test out the short science courses first to get a feel for the OU style of learning... I'm doing it for personal interest, although if I ever get bored of my current day job (tax & accountancy Embarassed ) then it might be nice to have something else to fall back on!!!

I have a Portuguese exam in a couple of weeks, so will probably be a bit quiet on here until that's out the way... Shocked

Finally, this is my first ever post on a forum, so I'll apologise now if the layout or smileys come out funny Very Happy

Cheers

Vik

Hi Vikki and welcome to the forum.

There must be something about accountants wanting to be cosmologists Razz I'm also an accountant.

I'm studying astronomy and maths for the physical science degree.. mainly maths for now before moving on to the level 3 courses. So much maths involved but I'm actually enjoying it Smile
